Human trafficking is a $150 billion industry that robs almost 25 million people around the world of their freedom. To help victims of trafficking, we must first become aware of the problem. Human trafficking is the business of stealing freedom for profit. In some cases, traffickers trick, defraud or physically force victims into providing commercial sex. In others, victims are lied to, assaulted, threatened or manipulated into working under inhumane, illegal or otherwise unacceptable conditions.
Named after the North Star that guided slaves to freedom in the U.S., Polaris's mission is to eradicate modern slavery. With your support, we can help survivors restore their freedom, prevent more victims, and leverage data and technology to pursue traffickers wherever they operate.
Pledge to stand up for those who have lost their freedom. Learn to recognize the signs, spread awareness, and actively combat this terrible crime.
