Domestic workers have been left out of virtually every major federal labor protection law. That fact, coupled with isolated, informal working conditions make this workforce very vulnerable to labor trafficking. It is time to give the nannies, house cleaners and home health aides who help busy families manage their lives the respect, the payment and the protection they deserve. Legislation before Congress would go a long way toward doing that and protecting these workers from trafficking and exploitation.
This is not ok. We need your help.
Contact your U.S. Senators and Representatives and demand equal rights for ALL workers. Help protect potential labor trafficking victims from exploitation and abuse.
Note: Unfortunately, if you live in a U.S. Territory, such as District of Columbia you don't actually have a voting representative in Congress and therefore cannot fill out the form.
